Spring
2008 Schedule for Participation in
Fall 2008 Co-op
Divisions A & T: Mechanical,
Industrial Engineering
and Mechanical Engineering Technology Majors
January 7 - February 7 Meet with your
Co-op Coordinator
We will review your employer evaluation, review your resume, and
discuss your co-op plans for the Fall 2008 term. Please also update
your contact information in myNEU Cool; we will use your email and
phone numbers to contact you throughout the semester, and during
your co-op.
February 8 Final
Resume Upload Due
Upload your final resume to myNEU COOL. This version of your resume
will be emailed to employers, so please make sure your on-line resume
is perfect. Notify your coordinator when your resume has been uploaded,
so we can “release” you to access the employer listings
for your major.
February 15 - 18
Complete Employer Referral Selections on myNEU COOL
Once you are “released” by your coordinator and gain
access to the company information, review the employers and job
descriptions listed. Please select and rank 5 companies as “very
interested” and 5 companies as “moderately interested”,
based on industry, geography, etc. We will use this electronic information
to determine where your resume will be sent.
February 19 - 29
Referral Discussion with your Co-op Coordinator
Students planning to interview MUST make an appointment with your
co-op coordinator during this week to review where your resume will
be sent. Please make this appointment online.
March 5 Co-op
Coordinators email resumes to employers.
Note: Student appointments will not be available during this time.
March 6 - 7 Employer
contact information sent to students.
Contact information for employers where your resume was sent will
be emailed to you.
March 6 - April 25

Students must be in frequent contact with their coordinators during
this time period to provide progress updates and report any issues,
and to improve coordinator communications with employers.
