Boston is a financial and bio-technological center, burgeoning with banking, insurance, and bio-medical companies, many of which are undergoing major growth and organizational transformations that will require precisely the kind of skills our students learn in the MSIS Program We do our best to stay attuned to such needs. The city also provides year-round high-tech conferences that offer connections to leaders in the field as well as the latest products and ideas that drive innovation. Boston is an unrivaled learning center, with multiple neighboring academic institutions with which we at Northeastern interact. Along with a surplus of academic opportunities, our students also enjoy a rich choice of cultural activities in Boston. The Museum of Fine Arts, the Boston Symphony, and the Huntington Theater alone are within easy walking distance from our campus. A short subway ride will take you into a thriving world full of a wide variety of plays, films, art and science museums, musical performances, restaurants, and bookstores.
