C++/UNIX Certificate Program

This certificate program enables individuals to enhance their knowledge of the latest computer software developments. People wishing to improve their chances of changing or obtaining a job dealing with state-of-the-art topics in the computer field should enroll in this program.

This program is primarily intended for individuals who hold a BS, a BA, or have work experience in the computer industry and who have knowledge of a higher-level programming language. However, candidates who do not meet these requirements are not excluded.

Students planning to continue their education beyond the certificate level will be able to transfer most certificate coursework toward the associate's or bachelor's degree programs.

A combined maximum of two courses may be waived via transfer credit or proficiency examination.

    • ENG 4104 College English 1 (3 QH)
      (Students who have successfully completed a college-level English writing course may omit ENG 4104.)

    Certificate Program Curriculum: Candidates must earn 31 quarter hours (QH) beyond the program prerequisites by completing the three-quarter curriculum indicated below. Major Code 070.
