Minor in Computer Engineering Technology

To qualify for a minor in Computer Engineering Technology, the student must complete the following courses with a QPA of 2.0 or better. Up to eight  semester hours of transfer credit may be transferred for equivalent course work but the remaining courses must be taken in the School of Engineering Technology. A student does not have to be enrolled in the School of Engineering Technology to declare the minor, but the student must meet the published prerequisites for all courses.

  • CET U301 – Introduction to C++ Programming
  • CET U302 – Lab for Introduction to C++ Programming
  • CET U306 – C++ Data Structures
  • CET U307 – Lab for C++ Data Structures
  • CET U311 – Computer Organization
  • CET U321 – Software Engineering
  • CET U551 – Operating Systems

To obtain credit for a minor in engineering technology, students must file a petition form with the School of Engineering Technology in 120 Snell Engineering Center. Interested students should confer with Roy Dalsheim (120 Snell, 617-373-7777) as soon as possible.
