Minor in Mechanical Engineering Technology

To qualify for a minor in Mechanical Engineering Technology, the student must complete the following courses with a QPA of 2.0 or better. Up to eight  semester hours of transfer credit may be transferred for equivalent course work but the remaining courses must be taken in the School of Engineering Technology. A student does not have to be enrolled in the School of Engineering Technology to declare the minor, but the student must meet the published prerequisites for all courses.

  • MET U201 – Statics
  • MET U301 – Dynamics
  • MET U341 – Materials
  • MET U351 – Measurement and Analysis
  • MET U352 – Lab for Measurement and Analysis
  • MET U531 – Fluid Mechanics
  • MET U532 – Lab for Fluid Mechanics

To obtain credit for a minor in engineering technology, students must file a petition form with the School of Engineering Technology in 120 Snell Engineering Center. Interested students should confer with Roy Dalsheim (120 Snell, 617-373-7777) as soon as possible.
