Minor in School of Technological Entrepreneurship

Successful technological entrepreneurs know how to relate to people with different types of knowledge and experience. One program goal is to teach the art of collaboration, which is key to turning new technology into marketable products and services.

This minor provides undergraduates with an understanding of the process for successfully bringing new technology-driven products to market. It’s open to all full-time undergraduates at Northeastern, but is specifically designed for students majoring in science, computer science, engineering, business or health sciences.

You will take four, four-credit courses to complete the minor. You will be expected to take one course each year.

Required courses:

  • TENU 310 – Business Basics for Technological Entrepreneurship (for science and engineering students)
  • TENU 330 – Introduction to Product Design for Entrepreneurs (for business and nontechnical students)
  • TENU 301 – Opportunity Assessment in a Technology-Based Firm
  • TENU 401 – Managing Operations in a Technology-Based Start-up Firm
  • TEN450U – Strategic Entrepreneurship (capstone)
