Nationals

This year Northeastern's Chapter of AIChE sent 7 students to nationals. They came back with lots of great advice and suggestions on how to make next year even more productive. Some of the advice included involving professors more, and doing more social events to promote networking within our small community. In addition check out the news page to see how our ChemE Car team faired at nationals!

Pumpkin Painting

With the holiday of Halloween around, AIChE decided to give back to the community while having a little fun. We put together a fund raiser to raise some money for Children's Hosital Boston by painting pumpkins in the holiday spirit. Each pumpkin cost $5 and we sold nearly 40 of them, making a good amount of money for the Children's Hospital. Almost as important as the fundraised money is all the fun we had! Look below to see

Co-Op Mixer

Recently Northeastern AIChE hosted Advanced Electron Beams, Waters Corporation, Nantero and Xtalic at the Matthew's Arena Varsity Club in an attempt to foster relations between students and prospective employers. This mixer provided students an often missed opportunity to ask employers about the specific co-op positions that they were providing as well as the general work environment that their co-op provides. This intimidate setting allowed for the employers to gather interest for their corporations as they described how chemical engineering played into their respective fields. The event was definitely a success as many students found corporations that they wanted to apply to and many corporations received resumes of some very interested students.
