Parcel 18 Tour

Since Northeastern’s President Aoun signed the American College & University Presidents Climate Commitment (ACUPCC), sustainability has been a major theme in new construction projects around campus.  Parcel 18, scheduled for completion in the summer of 2009, is one of these projects.  The largest tower is 22 stories and overlooks the other three towers and a courtyard in the middle which will host native vegetation surrounded by walkways for residents and visitors.

The courtyard rests above a new dining facility, similar in size to that of Stetson East, that will feed the building’s 1,200 occupants.  The most impressive feature of the project is that its incorporation of recycled and local materials, a high performance building envelope, and energy efficient systems set it on track for a LEED Gold rating, proving Northeastern’s dedication to environmental friendliness.
