During a pivotal time for health care reform, Northeastern University has partnered with the Veterans Affairs (VA) New England Healthcare System to provide an approach that will significantly improve health care systems through engineering-based solutions.

The New England Healthcare Engineering Partnership (NEHCEP), is one of four new Veterans Engineering Research Centers, and represents a collaboration among the VA New England Healthcare System, Northeastern, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and Worcester Polytechnic Institute.

Under NEHCEP, the best minds in systems and industrial engineering will adapt the innovative methods that keep the world’s most advanced machinery in perfect sync to make healthcare processes operate efficiently. The primary goal is to improve the accuracy, efficiency, and safety of everything from patient admitting to post-surgical care throughout New England’s eight VA medical centers and 37 outpatient clinics – and, ultimately, to improve the nation’s entire healthcare system.

Join us for an exciting presentation on developments in industrial engineering that have the power to create highly efficient, safe, and reliable processes in health care.

To register, contact Whitney Kelly in the Office of Alumni Relations at w.kelly@neu.edu or call 617.373.2656 by October 2. Complimentary parking will be available with a parking pass.
