Engineers Without Borders -- Northeastern Students Deliver Success
Wednesday, May 20, 2009 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.

Northeastern University Alumni Center
716 Columbus Avenue, 6th Floor
Boston, MA

The Northeastern University student chapter of Engineers Without Borders (www.ewb.neu.edu) has made an impact on the lives of hundreds, thanks to their thoughtful and innovative approach to solving problems in delivering an essential human need: water. Since the chapter's formation five years ago, Northeastern students have been working in partnership with Engineers Without Borders USA to develop and implement sustainable engineering projects in developing communities in an effort to improve the quality of life.

Please join Dean David E. Luzzi along with a host of engineering alumni and friends on Wednesday, May 20 for a special reception to recognize and celebrate the achievements of the Northeastern Chapter of Engineers Without Borders. The reception will be highlighted by a presentation from the EWB students about how their dedication, skill and hardwork in designing and implementing new water sanitation and distribution systems for a region in Honduras has made a tremendous difference for the vitality of the villages. These projects have received well-deserved recognition, including the Sustainable Legacy Award and the Project of the Month by EWB-USA.

All alumni are welcome. Admission is complimentary and advance registration is required. To register, contact Whitney Kelly at 617.373.2656 or w.kelly@neu.edu.
