Sam serves as Chief Technology Officer at Deloitte Tax, where he sits on US & Global Executive Committees, and also on the Global Technology Governance Board. He has responsibility across all aspects of technology, with over 1000 professionals world-wide. Sam brings over 25 years of experience in business strategy, operations/P&L management, and large-scale enterprise transformation across F500 organizations.
Prior to joining Deloitte, Sam was a direct-admit Partner at PwC Consulting in 1998, and a few years later, following IBM’s acquisition of PwC Consulting, Sam became Sr. Partner at IBM and was a member of IBM’s SLT (Senior Leadership Team) of 12 top leaders in North America. He held numerous roles at IBM including head of the High Tech Industry, Global eCRM Leader, and he was Global & Americas Oracle Practice Leader with $1.4B in revenues and 10,500 consultants across North America, Europe, and Asia.
Throughout his career, Sam has worked with senior leaders to create breakthrough business performance. He has deep experience in building teams and developing technology and process enabled transformation strategies across the Global 2000.
Sam holds an MBA in International Marketing and Finance from the Carroll Graduate School of Management, Boston College, and a BS in Electrical Engineering & Computer Engineering from the Schnell School of Engineering, Northeastern University. He is an avid boater, skier, and youth lacrosse coach. He loves to give back, and he actively supports youth in their career pursuits and is a mentor to dozens of professionals. Sam and his wife Lucine reside in Boston, MA and have 3 adult children.
