Abstract: We define a general class of inventory control problems - recruitment stocking problems (RSP), where one needs to recruit a target number of subjects through multiple locations. RSP can be found in clinical trials, fashion industry as well as recruitment of customers in marketing research/new product launch. We provide a mathematical characterization of RSP and its performance metrics.
