Dan Roy, PE who will lead a discussion about his personal Passive House, some of the construction & design details, actual energy performance vs predictions and what it’s like to live in a Passive House.
The house has a photovoltaic system that makes it better than Net Zero and the excess power is used to partially pay a relative’s electricity bill. Some design features are ERV (Energy Recovery Ventilation), mini splits, heat pump water heater and triple pane windows.
Food will be provided prior to Dan’s presentation at this FREE event.

Dan Roy is a Certified Passive House Consultant (CPHC) and PE in MA. He has a bachelor’s degree from WPI and a master’s degree from Northeastern both in Mechanical Engineering. Dan has worked on two PHIUS (Passive House Institute US) Certified Passive Houses and awaiting certification on a third. Previously, he was in Senior Management for both the GE and Siemens Engineering Department and is President Emeritus of ATC Industrial Division.
