Thesis Guidelines

DEGREE CONFERRAL DEADLINES

IMPORTANT DEGREE CONFERRAL INFORMATION AND DEADLINES:

Students planning to graduate in January 2010 or May 2010 should register for commencement via your myNEU account beginning on November 1, 2009. Using the Self-Service tab, you will find the Commencement link located at the bottom left corner of the screen. Choose the My Commencement option and complete the questionnaire provided. This task should take approximately 5 minutes for you to complete, and is REQUIRED in order to add your name to the official Degree Conferral List and to ensure the accuracy of your degree. If the Commencement link is not available to you on myNEU, please email Sara Simeone in the Graduate Office at s.simeone@neu.edu.

 

JANUARY 2010 DEGREE CONFERRAL
January 15, 2009 – Friday, 4:30 p.m.

Deadline for departments to submit all missing or incomplete grades from previous terms (with appropriate documentation), transfer credit requests, time limit extension requests, and any other petition(s) to the Graduate School.

Any missing Thesis or Dissertation Continuation, and/or Dissertation registrations are due or must be added by this date.

Graduate School Thesis/Dissertation Approval Record (with all required signatures) due in the Graduate School. Please note that it may take up to one week for the Director to review your thesis/dissertation; please plan accordingly.

January 29, 2010 — Degree Conferral Date

 

MAY 2010 DEGREE CONFERRAL
April 23, 2010 –Friday, 4:30 p.m.

ADDITIONAL DEGREE CONFERRAL INFORMATION:

All students who wish to graduate must complete the MyCommencement registration form on-line via the myNEU web portal at www.myneu.neu.edu as noted above. The Graduate School will then review graduating student files and contact students regarding academic requirements.
