COMMENCEMENT DEADLINES
JANUARY 2008 COMPLETION*
January 11, 2008 – Friday, 4:30 p.m.
Deadline for departments to submit all missing or incomplete
grades from previous terms (with appropriate documentation),
transfer credit requests, time limit extension requests, and
any other petition(s) to the Graduate School. Any missing Thesis
or Dissertation Continuation, and/or Dissertation registrations
are due or must be added by this date. Graduate School Thesis
Approval Record (signed by the library) due in the Graduate
School. Please note that it may take up to one week for the
Director to review your thesis/dissertation; please plan accordingly.
January 25, 2008—Degree conferral date.
*There is no January commencement ceremony. Students who complete
their degree in January may attend the May ceremony if they
wish. Contact the Commencement Office for more information.
MAY 2008 COMMENCEMENT
April 18, 2008 – Friday, 4:30 p.m.

COMMENCEMENT INFORMATION:
All students who wish to graduate must complete the MyCommencement
registration form on-line via the myNEU web portal at www.myneu.neu.edu.
The Graduate School will then review graduating student files
and contact students regarding academic requirements.
Please note that the Office of the University Registrar coordinates
MyCommencement registration. Students should contact the Registrar
directly with any questions or problems with the process at
