for Graduate Engineering Applicants

Thank you for your
interest in the graduate engineering programs at Northeastern
University. The Graduate School of Engineering offers degree programs
at the Masters of Science and PhD levels on both full- and part-time
basis. Please view our Graduate
Degrees and Areas of Concentration before starting your application.
Applying now is easy
with our new online
application. Online applications are now REQUIRED. This system
allows you to monitor the status of your application and view
the final decision on your application. If you have a paper application,
it is out of date and will not be accepted.

To be enrolled in Northeastern
University's Graduate School of Engineering, applicants must have
earned a Bachelor of Science degree in engineering or in a closely
related field2 from an accredited college or university.
Official transcripts
of all previous undergraduate course work are required.
Request that the transcript(s) be sent directly to the Graduate
School of Engineering. Please do not include high school transcript
or any other certificates, as these documents will be discarded
if received.
Letters of
recommendation should be completed by someone acquainted
with your academic and personal qualifications. Recommendations
are made by using the online application system. A link is provided
once you create your online account. Paper recommendation letters
are no longer accepted and will be discarded if received.
TOEFL
and GRE scores are to be submitted electronically
by ETS. Photocopies will not be accepted and
will be discarded if received.
Please read the instructions
for the Declaration
and Certification of Finances (DCF) form. The DCF form and
supporting financial documents should be mailed to the Graduate
School of Engineering. These documents MUST be ORIGINALS. Photocopies
will not be accepted.
Applications received
after the stated deadline dates will be processed, however it
may not be possible to have a decision rendered in time for you
to begin taking classes.
All documents submitted
must be ORIGINALS.

GRA and GTA consideration is made by the individual departments,
predominantly for Ph.D. applicants. Unfortunately, we are unable
to offer assistantships to all those who are eligible.
2The Master
of Science in Information Systems program and the Master of Science
in Telecommunication Systems Management program will also consider
applicants who have a bachelor's degree in a discipline other
than engineering.
3Institutional
code is 3665, no department code is needed.
