Prospective Students
The Master of Science in Computer Systems Engineering degree is designed for engineers who want to enhance their computer skills to develop standard and mobile software applications. Those with degrees in computer related disciplines also enter the program to gain expertise to become software engineers. The disciplines from which applicants usually come include all fields of engineering and computer science. Students can attend this program on either a full- or part-time basis.
Full-time students in the program have the opportunity to participate in Northeastern's nationally renowned Cooperative Plan of Education (Co-op), which allows students to work with companies in the Boston area, gaining valuable experience while obtaining their degree. Northeastern is located in the heart of Boston, and there are many opportunities for Co-op in the Boston metro area with companies, both large and small, working at the cutting edge of software engineering.
