Image Based Software Solutions

Dana Brooks, professor of ECE, has been investigating a method to use image based modeling software for use in biomedical research.

Brooks' work is titled "Subject-specific, multiscale simulation of electrophysiology: a software pipeline for image-based models and application examples". They present an overview of software systems for implementing a sequence both within highly integrated problem-solving environments and in the form of loosely integrated pipelines. They aim to automate multiple executions wherever possible. The work also sets out to apply the pipelines to translational biomedical research in electrophysiology.

Professor Brooks specializes in Biomedical signal processing, Medical imaging, Statistical signal processing, Inverse problems, Multiresolution signal processing, Electrocardiography, Diffuse optical tomography, Magnetic resonance imaging, Regularization, as well as Optimization.
