NU-FIRST Application

First logoThis merit-based NU-FIRST scholarship provides full-tuition for up to eight semesters of undergraduate study to a high school student who has participated in FIRST. The scholarship will be renewed for each of the recipient’s eight academic semesters provided the student maintains a cumulative 3.00 or higher grade point average in the College of Engineering.

Please complete the form below including the essay by April 1, 2024, to be considered for the NU-FIRST scholarship. Before completing this form, you may want to compose the essay offline and then copy & paste it into the provided space.

NU-FIRST scholarship applicants must also apply for freshman admission into our College of Engineering for Fall 2024 via the admissions application. Although the deadline for the NU-FIRST scholarship is April 1, 2024, the University application deadline and the deadline to be considered for other merit-based scholarships is January 1, 2024. The NU-FIRST scholarship is the only merit-based award that requires a separate application.

The NU-FIRST scholarship winner will be notified by Northeastern University before the national May 1, 2024 acceptance decision and deposit deadline. This full-tuition scholarship offer would replace and is NOT in addition to, any merit scholarships previously offered by Northeastern University to the student.

If you have any questions regarding this scholarship, please contact Richard Harris, College of Engineering. Learn more about our FIRST team – the NU-TRONS.
