Graduate Education

The Northeastern graduate engineering programs are predominantly interdisciplinary and are organized around a core curriculum that equips students with a solid foundation to become leaders in all facets of engineering. By involving students in many levels of research, encouraging collaboration across departments, and partnering with outside institutions and organizations, Northeastern Engineering graduate students gain a rich education in their chosen discipline.

Congratulations to the 14 COE faculty, staff, and students that were honored at the Academic Honors Convocation.

Double Win at RISE 2014

PhD Bioengineering student David Walsh & Juliette Kassas (COS) were awarded the Excellence in Research award AND the Graduate Engineering and Technology Research award at this year's RISE 2014 Expo.

Outstanding Research Award

ECE PhD student Ceyhun Karbeyaz received a Graduate Computer and Information Sciences Research Award at this year's RISE Expo for a Web-based Laboratory for Computational Social Science.

Entrepreneurship Excellence

Amir Farjadian (BioE PhD), Qingchao Kong (MIE PhD), Carlo Sartori (MIE BSMS), & Constantinos Mavroidis (MIE Prof) received an Excellence in Entrepreneurship Award at this year's RISE Expo.

Interdisciplinary Research

Jodi Belz (BioE PhD), Stacey Markovic (EE PhD), and Mark Niedre (ECE Assisant Professor) were awarded a Graduate Interdisciplinary Research Award at this year's RISE Expo.

COE Dean's Award

ECE PhD Aida Ehyaei was awarded the COE Dean's Award at this year's RISE Expo for "A System For Gathering Data on Sleep Behavior and Context in the Home Setting".

1st Place at ASPB Meeting

Congratulations ChE PhD students Noreen Rizvi & Sydney Shaw for receiving 1st place (in the oral presentation and poster presentation, respectively) at the Northeast ASPB meeting at the University of Rhode Island.
