Information Systems
The Master of Science Degree in Information Systems is designed to facilitate career transformation for students with different technical backgrounds. The degree program can be pursued on a full- or part-time basis and is designed for students and professionals who desire to make a career shift to the information systems field, or for professionals currently in the field who wish to enhance their skills and credentials. Providing knowledge of the fundamentals of information technology as well as essential skills needed in information technology positions, this program blends academic and corporate experience to enable students to develop their professional lives.
The successful applicant must demonstrate an inherent affinity for analytical thinking. Students may pursue the program on a full- or part-time basis, and are expected to have an adequate background in programming and basic probability theory. Foundational coursework in these fields is available to students to bridge any gap in their technical backgrounds. However, credits for these courses will not count towards the degree.
